GC119 – Visual Imagery – Prior Knowledge Brain Scan

GC119-S3 – Prior Knowledge Brain Scan – The brain spontaneously creates Mind Maps when focusing on any object or topic with an array of curiosity. As directed, individually, with a partner, in a small group and/or class, Alexa or Instructor will guide students to brainstorm their prior knowledge, on today’s lesson topic, using a Mind Map graphic. Though links may be unrelated, students will be directed to use more than just keywords, characteristics, examples, non-examples, phrases, ideas, tasks, etc. The captured thoughts may also be portrayed as images pictures, symbols, drawings or icons. After the lesson is completed, more concepts can be clarified and organized by adding and modifying currents links. (Option – Reading Journal Entry)
