The purpose of the ENGAGING STRATEGIES is to provide engaging, stimulating techniques to move learning from the surface level to deep, insightful experiences.  As previously mentioned, "research clearly demonstrates that as much as fifty percent of the material heard and read in class is forgotten in a matter of minutes." (LaBonty & Danielson, 2005).  Engaging strategies increase ownership for the content being provided.  At this step, the students continue to compare, elaborate, problem-solve, having changes in perception and generate new thought.  These actions increase retention and recall.

Therefore, the only content needed to be inserted within the LC tool may be just:
